Who we are
Glintword is published under the trade name Tandogo, used by an independent developer based in Türkiye whose identity is given in our Privacy Policy ("we"). You can reach us at support@tandogo.com.
Using the app
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use Glintword for your own learning. The app is licensed to you, not sold.
The app is in Turkish and is meant for a general audience. If you are a minor where you live, get your parent's or guardian's permission before making a purchase.
Purchases and subscriptions
Premium is bought through the App Store under Apple's terms. Apple processes payments, and the price is shown in the App Store before you buy. The options are:
- Yearly subscription: includes a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged when it ends.
- Monthly subscription: no free trial.
- Lifetime: a one-time payment that does not renew.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in the app under Ben → Aboneliği yönet (Me → Manage subscription) or in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period.
Premium is tied to the Apple account you bought it with and is not shared through Family Sharing. On a new phone, restore it with Ben → Satın Alımları Geri Yükle (Restore Purchases).
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Because digital content is made available immediately, to the extent the law allows your right of withdrawal ends once delivery begins; in Türkiye, under Article 15 of the Distance Contracts Regulation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately. This does not limit your rights under Apple's terms or mandatory law.
Your progress
Your progress is stored on your phone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud account. We keep no copy on our servers. If you delete the app or lose your phone while iCloud backup is off, your progress may be lost and we cannot restore it.
Content and exams
We work hard to keep the words, translations, example sentences and questions accurate, but mistakes can happen. If you spot one, just email us. Glintword is a learning tool and does not guarantee any exam result or language level.
YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL and YDT are exams of ÖSYM, and LGS is an exam of Türkiye's Ministry of National Education. Glintword is not affiliated with or endorsed by these institutions. The questions in the app are original questions written in the style of these exams, not official exam questions.
Some of the word lists draw on openly licensed sources; the sources and their licences are listed in the app under Ben → Kaynaklar ve Lisanslar (Sources and Licences).
What you must not do
Do not bulk copy, extract, republish or sell the app's content or database; do not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows; and do not try to get around Premium locks. Content from openly licensed sources remains under its own licence.
Intellectual property
The app, its design and its original content (definitions, example sentences, translations, questions and tips) belong to Tandogo or its licensors. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, events outside our control or third-party services, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Glintword in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Apple
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; where it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail. These Terms are between you and Tandogo, not Apple; we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its support.
Ending the service
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; this does not cancel your subscription by itself. If we decide to stop offering Glintword, we will give at least 30 days' notice and stop new sales.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Turkish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts; in Türkiye you may also apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts. Please write to us first so we can try to solve the problem.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will show the new date at the top. We will announce important changes in the app at least 30 days before they take effect; if you keep using the app afterwards, you accept the new Terms. If you live in Türkiye the Turkish version applies; otherwise this English version applies.
